TimeSentry is a small System Tray utility which keeps your system clock synchronized with an internet time server chosen randomly from a user-editable list. Once installed, TimeSentry will load into your System Tray each time you start your computer. It will then attempt to synchronize your time at intervals you specify (every day by default). TimeSentry randomly chooses a new time server from your list for every automatic synchronization attempt. If an error is encountered or an erroneous time is returned, TimeSentry will continue to poll different servers until a valid result is received, ensuring that your time will always be synchronized even if one or more servers fail. No initial configuration is required, as TimeSentry will use a number of NIST time servers to automatically keep your time synchronized. However, if you wish to customize the list of time servers which are used for synchronization, simply click on the TimeSentry icon to open the Time Servers window. This window allows you to completely customize the list of time servers used, as well as providing an option for manual testing and synchronization with any chosen server.
