Sweeper scans your files for dangerous abilities within it is highly configurable, fast, and delivers the data you need. Because Sweeper does not rely on signatures it has the ability to find undiscovered virii, trojans, and spyware within your system.
Sweeper operates at the API level. API stands for Application Programming Interface, and this means Sweeper analyzes your binaries for system calls. Here are some example calls Sweeper looks for: "bind", for winsock listening capability "send", for winsock sending capability and "createremotethread" for process injection (which allows a trojan to surmount your anti-virus or firewall).
Sweeper conveniently breaks down your applications into categories. For instance, applications that have internet server capabilities might be found very quickly... and likewise, applications which have the ability to delete files. Sweeper has 19 categories and 210 apis which it currently scans for.
